Going Wireless with Bluetooth Technology

Bluetooth. You may have come across the word. Be it on brochures of mobile smartphones, advertisements for personal digital assistants, specification lists of digital cameras, printers or any other “latest release” gadget, the world Bluetooth is something which has become quite common, indicated as an integrated feature built into many popular tech gadgets today.

Basically, Bluetooth technology allows electronic items to wirelessly communicate with each other, sharing files and other electronic data. Utilizing a globally unlicensed short range radio frequency, Bluetooth is basically a specification for wireless personal area networks, or PAN. It is basically how many items, like mobile phones, printers, digital cameras, human interface devices like computer game pads, successfully connect with each other, wirelessly.

The name Bluetooth came from King Harald Bluetooth of Norway and Denmark. Reigning in the late tenth century, King Harald Bluetooth is famous for the unification of the warring tribes of Denmark. This particular band is known to have been set aside by international agreements, as dedicated for the use of Industrial, Scientific and Medical Devices.

Going wireless couldn’t get any easier with Bluetooth Technology, as most electronic gadgets which deal with data handling are Bluetooth enabled. Transferring pictures from a Bluetooth enabled digital camera could be easily achieved to various Bluetooth enabled items like personal computers, or mobile phones, which also have Bluetooth features.
Bluetooth enabled headsets provide users with the wireless option of audio headsets, which could successfully operate with various Bluetooth enabled devices, which could range from mobile phones, personal digital assistants and personal computer systems.

Bottom line, because it is universal with its connection capabilities, as well as wireless, the popularity of Bluetooth isn’t one born out from a fad. It is smart. It is economical. It is practical.

With Bluetooth technology, going wireless isn’t a problem for many items.
